“Childhood Dying” Author Paul Price
Paul Price will share segments from his latest book titled Childhood Dying. Paul was inspired by his son who taught him that mainstream academics just weren’t for everyone and that if you didn’t fit in the box that didn’t make you a bad person. The repercussions of pushing our brightest kids too fast and too hard is the theme in his recent book and Paul will be here to share his fascinating story with us. Paul writes “The education of our children is both fundamentally a right and a responsibility that we as a society have taken upon ourselves. When the mechanical processes of education are coupled with the varying social, economic, cultural, personality, ethnic, and life opportunity traits of each individual, combined with the costs, dynamics, and sheer mass of the institution of public education, one can begin to grasp the difficulty of the task”. Paul received his Masters Degree in Education Administrate but has worked in the private financial industry for the past 25 years. Paul advocates that survival and success in the world is more based on personal character than titles; he will remind us just how important childhood and our children really are. Paul and his wife Chris reside in Eldorado Hills and have 7 children.
The Educational World from China
Dan Baer recently returned from China, where he and his wife Evelyn taught English at a Chinese University. Dan graduated from Anderson High School, received his Masters Degree from San Jose State. Dan’s family was one of the frontier families where your learned everything at home. He remembers reading from the Bible, performing vignettes, and how great his father retold stories. Education has been Dan’s passion all his life; from home on the farm to living in China and Dublin, Ireland; his Mom, Dad and life in general were all some of his best teachers. Dan will share his educational experiences he brought back home from China.

For 10 years Jeanette and her family have used their talents and skills to enrich and educate hundreds of families each week.
